I'm just a little country girl trying to make it in the big city. Questions? Comments? Leave them here, or email WVLaurel at gmail dot com.
I just read your comment on Dean Dad's blog and want to tell you to QUIT WAITING if the only reason you are waiting is to get to the same town. Life is too short not to be married to the one you love. I say this as someone who met my true love at 20, but waited until almost 26 until I married him, because for the last three years we lived half the country apart. Finally I came to my senses, quit my job, we got married, I found a perfectly wonderful replacement job (not identical, but wonderful, nonetheless), and we are living happily ever after (just celebrated our 22nd anniversary). We decided that his city had more opportunities for me than mine had for him and that's why I, rather than he, relocated--nothing sexist.
Anonymous, thank you so much for taking the time to leave your perceptive comment. Keep your fingers crossed as we're hoping things can move along. We're in the same boat: his field is more specialized than mine, so it's his job first.
