The Tide Is Turning!

Oh happy day! According to West Virginia 2008 Presidential Ballot, Obama is ahead by 8 points!! No, he didn't move ahead 8 points..he's leading McCain by 8 points!!

I thought I heard a big popping noise earlier today. I think it was my fellow West Virginians pulling their heads out of ... the sand. Hey, this is a family blog.

I am ecstatic. Now, it's still early and I know there are plenty of other factors, which I'll detail later. But now, tonight, I am celebrating.

When I first saw that on a Facebook status update yesterday, I thought, "Yeah, but who conducted that poll? Obama's campaign? And did they ONLY ask liberals?" When I heard it repeated 3 more times from 3 different news sources, I thought, "No freakin' way! Maybe it IS possible!" Here's hoping!

An article in the Charleston Gazette says that there are a number of other pollsters who are disputing the results that put Obaman ahead, and the Daily Mail didn't even mention the poll (typical). Still it's good to see at least the possiblity of a turnaround!

Yes, but we can't relax, yet. According to the New York Times: "If Democrats are to win the 2008 election, they must not simply beat McCain at the polls - they must beat him by a margin that exceeds the level of GOP vote tampering."

It's really ugly. Go to http://www.stealbackyourvote.com

No, you're right, Rebecca. We can't relax. But at times I need to take a break and celebrate to re-energize me. And I need to pick up my Obama t-shirt!! Can I do it at the opening next week? I'm planning on going.

Lulubunny, Hallelujah is right! Lara, I think it IS possible. Especially since the campaign is going to be coming here, and McCain's campaign really hasn't been here.
